Children's Poetry:
Poetry Books should consist of a variety of poems or be set on a specific subject/topic area. These books should be leveled based on difficulty of the rhyme schemes as well as the content. Poetry books for children should be relatable and use imagery in its context. Pictures are always great additions and attract children’s attention. The rhyme schemes should be appropriate for children to pick up on and follow along with the rhythm and “beat” of its writing.
